Biography

I am a first-year M.S. student advised by Dr. Deanna Hence. I am researching the orographic effects on precipitation in the Southeast United States with a specific focus on the 1-5 October 2015 Carolina flooding event.

I graduated with a Bachelor's in Meteorology from Valparaiso University in May 2023. In the summer of 2022, I completed the William M. Lapenta Internship program through the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). There, I worked within the Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR) with the Earth Prediction Innovation Center (EPIC) to research the capabilities of an open-sourced data assimilation system. This research was presented as an oral presentation in the 103rd AMS Annual Meeting in Denver, CO, and is what inspired me to continue research and further my education.

Aside from education and research, I am an avid plant lover and a coffee fanatic.
