The Midwest Student Conference on Atmospheric Research (MSCAR) is an annual conference organized by students at the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Illinois. The inaugural MSCAR was held in 2017 and brought together both undergraduate and graduate students from across the Midwest, providing an opportunity for them to present their research in a formal conference setting. MSCAR has grown to include a series of workshops aimed at helping students develop skills that are beneficial in academia as well as the private sector and industry.
